Leo Malinda Sampath Ganewatte PFLM

Leo Lion Malinda Ganewatte, son of Mr. V.N ganewatte and Mrs. K.M.M.S.T Fernando is the first child of the family. He is a proud product of St Sebastian's college Moratuwa. In 2014, he entered the University of Colombo to obtain his degree in Physical Sciences. In his time in the university, Leo Malinda did many extracurricular activities. He was a part of the rugby team of the University of Colombo and he was engaged in Aiesec in Srilanka for University of Colombo, but what stuck with him in the years to come is leoism...

Joining the Leo movement in 2014 as a member of the Leo Club of Unawatuna Diamond Stars under the invitation of his colleague Leo Lion Supun Dahanayake. He quickly gained popularity as a humble emerging leader in the Leo community. He was one of the founder members and the Charter President for the Leo Club of University of Colombo Faculty of Science in 2015 which brought leoism into the University of Colombo. This marked a truly remarkable turning point for leoism in district 306 A1 as well as the multiple districts 306 which brought multiple talents into leoism.

In the leoistic year of 2016/17, he served as the district treasurer in Leo district 306 A1. Then in leoistic year 2017/2018, he was the founder and charter president of yet another Leo club: the Leo Club of Colombo Millenium, which was formed under the Lions Club of Colombo Millenium. Reaching the highest a Leo can achieve in leoism, he became the Leo of the year in the leoistic year 2017/18 in district 306 A1.

He is currently reading for his Masters Degree in Applied electronics at the University of Colombo. He is the Master for physics in Edexcel examinations in St Brigette 's convent Colombo 07 and he is a Physics lecturer at the Spectrum Institute of Science and Technology. He is also an entrepreneur in the adventure tourism sector in Sri Lanka.

Later he became the District President of Leo District 306 A1. Also, he is a member of Lions Club of Colombo New Century Titans.
